B-Space and Oxfam Uganda have jointly released a report titled ”Mapping the Impact investment Space in Uganda” as part of the ON Impact Investments (ONII) program.  Under the program, Oxfam is supporting entrepreneurs committed to achieving social impact while making financial returns in Africa and Asia.

In Uganda, Oxfam  engaged the services of B-Space to incubate social and sustainable businesses. As a Partner, B-Space’s responsibility is to create a pipeline of investor ready social businesses through tailored business development support. B-Space  put together  a team of coaches and consultants from various disciplines to achieve this.

After a thorough selection process of the beneficiaries, the team together with the beneficiaries  developed individual tailor-made road maps.  Under  each  road map,  aspects of the beneficiaries’ business operations that needed improvement were identified  in order to make  them investor ready and increase their  chances of getting access to finance and allocating it accordingly.

It is from this that the team produced the report containing  insights on impact investor  funding specifically in Uganda.
